The President's Speech on Day Health Insurance Reform

WASHINGTON - Consumers face busting budget increase in health insurance premiums, Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius said Thursday the government published a report in the hope Obama will take the public anger and help revitalize the stagnant improving health services.

People buy their own insurance in at least six states have faced pressure from insurance companies to raise rates by up to 56 percent, according to the report. Authorities said the problem tends to be more widespread, but data from individual insurance in different countries is difficult to obtain.

"We think that shone on the urgency of health reform," Sebelius told reporters.

Bill Democratic health will reduce costs for many consumers, providing government subsidies for most of them buy their own coverage. The premium will remain high, but insurance companies are facing greater government oversight in trying to raise interest rates.

Proposal premiums increased by 39 percent of WellPoint Anthem Blue Cross in California triggered a wave of criticism and forced the company last week announced the postponement. President Barack Obama took anthem as Annex A to make a case for radical changes in health before the bipartisan summit at the White House next week. California officials said more than 700,000 households face an average increase of 25 percent overall and more than 39 percent for some people.

In a briefing for reporters, blaming WellPoint executives increase in the rate of increase in medical costs and customer pools gradually become the old and sick, as a youth drop in coverage of healthy people. They insisted that their competitors are raising interest rates in the same way.

"We understand that this is difficult," said Brian Sassi, president and CEO of WellPoint's consumer business unit. "This is not something that voluntarily choose to do."

The report found that HHS hymn numbers in line with the increase requested by insurers in other countries - at the time of strong profit growth for companies and the lack of competition in most states.

For example, the hymn in Maine rejected a 18.5 percent increase last year and is now asking state regulators approved the increase of 23 percent. Maine is home to the Senators Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, a moderate Republican who supports Obama wants health care because of the law.

Michigan Blue Cross Blue Shield plan for approval of premium increases of 56 percent in 2009. And in Washington state, the rates of some individual health plans rose to 40 percent until regulators take action.

Other countries cited in the report of Connecticut, Oregon and Rhode Island.

The increase in premiums affecting the most vulnerable part of the health insurance market, individual policies sold to customers buying their own plan. According to the Census Bureau, only 9 per cent of Americans buy coverage directly, while nearly 60 percent of which are included in the workplan. Family premiums for those with the scope of work increased by 5 percent last year, while inflation fell 1 percent, but far from the individual level seen in the market.

Health legislation pending in Congress aimed primarily at addressing the problem of individual insurance and small businesses. While most Americans who need to carry the coverage, which provide grants to more affordable premiums. It will also create a new type of supermarket insurance for individuals and small businesses, offers a variety of competitive plans against what federal employees.

But travel is not freewill. An analysis of Congressional Budget Office last year found that Senate Democrats' bill would raise the average premium per person in the individual market by 10 percent to 13 percent, mainly due to the sale of insurance coverage wider. The government will take a lot of tabs, however. Most people buy their own coverage will be eligible for assistance from an average of two thirds of the cost of their premiums.
